Introductory Indoor Skydiving Imagine a wind tunnel that could be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car turn it upright step into the airflow and you’re skydiving! It’s a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment. Now you can experience the joy of human flight by easing yourself onto a 120mph air stream.Locations:Milton Keynes In BuckinghamshireTrafford Quays In ManchesterYou will receive two flights of 1 minute each (that’s the same freefall time as 3 tandem skydives).On arrival you’ll be required to sign a statement of risk confirming that you’re in a reasonable state of health and fitness (Participants under the age of 18 will require a parent’s or guardian’s signature). Then you’ll meet the instructors who’ll run through all the fundamental training required before you can fly – this session is good fun! Instructors will then help you to ‘kit-up’ in a flight suit helmet and goggles - then it’s on to the wind tunnel where you’ll experience your flights. After your flights you’ll be presented with a DVD of your flight to share as well as a flight certificate signed by the instructor.You should wear comfortable casual clothes (ideally a collarless t-shirt) with trainers/skate/tennis shoes that are lace-up.You should allow approximately 1 hour for your experience.The voucher allows for bookings on Monday to Friday only excluding the following school holiday dates:27th May – 8th Jun 201018th Oct – 3rd Nov 201013th Dec – 6th Jan 201017th Feb – 1st Mar 201131st Mar – 20th Apr 20112nd May 201121st Oct – 31st Oct 2011We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.Minimum age is 5 (under 18’s need parental consent).Maximum Weight is 18 stone (114kgs).Participants should be in good general health. Participants will be unable to fly if they are pregnant have previously suffered from a dislocated shoulder are wearing a hard plaster cast or are under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. If you have any concerns it is best to check before booking.Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiration date.There is a free viewing gallery and spectators are welcome. The Milton Keynes venue also boasts a 16 screen cinema 24 lane bowling alley rock climbing wall and 3 real snow ski/snowboard slopes – ideal if you’re stuck for things to do afterwards! The Manchester venue is adjacent to the Trafford centre which offers retail shops and restaurants.Personal Accident Insurance to the value of £50 000 together with cancellation indemnity subject to terms is included with every voucher. The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to vehicles or equipment except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.You can upgrade your voucher to fly outside of restrictions for £24.99 which is payable directly to Airkix at the time of booking. This deluxe upgrade includes an additional DVD.Your expiry date is printed on your voucher please check the date as it is essential that you book and take your experience before this date.Both venues have disabled access lifts and toilets.Food and drink is available in the vast array of neighbouring cafes bars and restaurants.The centre is closed on Christmas Day.
